Job Purpose/Summary
A senior-level position for experienced project management professionals. The Director of PMO supports the Knowmadics Value Delivery System by leading all day-to-day operations of the Project Management Office. The Director of PMO reports directly to the Executive Vice President of Projects and is the principal deputy of the Executive Vice President of Projects.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Supports the Knowmadics Value Delivery System by working closely with globally dispersed senior management, operations managers, project and product managers, cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and customers to ensure Knowmadics projects, programs, portfolios, products, and operations deliver value to Knowmadics’ customers.
· Works closely with the Executive Vice President of Projects to foster a collaborative and empowering organizational culture that reaches across silos, promotes value creation and benefits delivery, encourages continuous improvement, emphasizes resource optimization, and develops organizational project management maturity.
· Continuously evaluates project, product, and portfolio policies, processes, tools, and standardized templates for improvement opportunities.
· Supports the development and implementation of changes to optimize project quality, consistency, and value delivery.
· Leads strategically key organizational change, customer-facing projects, and product development efforts, from idea creation through operations delivery, as assigned by the EVP of Projects.
· Provides SME advising and technical writing support for internal project-related policies and templates and customer-facing proposals, projects, programs, and products.
· Project Management Information System (PMIS) deputy administrator. Also performs data entry, workflow management, quality assurance, and improvement opportunity analysis.
· Mentors others on traditional, agile, and hybrid project management approaches described in the PMBOK Guide 7th Edition and related materials.
· Performs delegated acting responsibilities during any absence of the Executive VP of Projects.
· Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
· Undergraduate Degree.
· PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent PRINCE2/IPMA
· Demonstrated value delivery performing PMBOK Guide 7th Edition Project Management Principles and Project Performance Domains using traditional, agile, and hybrid project management approaches.
· Demonstrated success in public sector, public-private, government contracts, or government contract/grant projects.
· Can work independently in a fully remote environment.
· Can proficiently use all tools required to work in a virtual environment, including Microsoft, Atlassian, Apple, and Android products and services.
· Flexible work schedule to accommodate globally dispersed customer and stakeholder needs, including availability to attend meetings on nights and weekends.
Working conditions
Should be willing to work in a variety of settings as needed, including nights and weekends.

Prolonged periods of remaining in a stationary position at a desk and working on a computer.
