Warehouse Lead

Position Overview:

We are seeking a competent and experienced individual to take on the role of Warehouse Supervisor. As the Warehouse Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient operation of our warehouse facility. Your primary focus will be to manage inventory, supervise the warehouse team, and ensure the smooth flow of goods in and out of the warehouse, as well as, ensure on time/in full shipment of wholesale and ecommerce orders. Your exceptional organizational and leadership skills will be instrumental in maintaining a well-structured and productive warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inventory Management: Regularly conduct inventory counts, reconcile discrepancies, and oversee stock replenishment activities. Maintain effective inventory control systems to track and manage stock levels accurately.
  • Shipping and Receiving Coordination: Collaborate with the shipping and receiving team to ensure timely and accurate processing of incoming and outgoing shipments. Oversee proper documentation and record-keeping related to shipments.
  • Warehouse Operations: Plan, coordinate, and execute daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping of goods. Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) to achieve maximum efficiency.
  • Space Utilization: Organize and categorize products to minimize handling time and improve order fulfillment speed.
  • Supervision: Lead and manage the warehouse team, evaluating staff performance. Foster a positive work environment, encourage teamwork, and provide support to enhance employee productivity.
  • Health and Safety: Enforce strict adherence to health and safety guidelines to create a safe working environment for all warehouse personnel. Conduct regular safety inspections and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Quality Control: Implement quality control measures to ensure the accuracy and condition of incoming and outgoing products. Address any quality issues promptly and collaborate with other departments to resolve them.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Coordinate with maintenance personnel to schedule regular equipment inspections and maintenance. Ensure all warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, is in proper working condition.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and cost-saving opportunities within the warehouse operations. Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance overall warehouse efficiency.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred, though relevant experience will also be considered.
  • Proven experience in a leadership role in a warehouse environment.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and distribution processes.
  • Excellent organizational, time management and communication skills.
  • Problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to handle challenges and unforeseen situations.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
  • Familiarity with safety and compliance regulations in a warehouse setting.
  • Forklift certification and experience operating warehouse equipment is an advantage.
  • Lifting 30-50 pounds

Working Conditions:

The Warehouse Lead role is based in the warehouse facility, which may involve exposure to varying temperatures and physical activities. The job may require some lifting, carrying, and moving of moderately heavy items.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
