Summary

Under the direction of the EVP, Director of Pharmacy Fulfillment Operations is responsible to provide leadership to business units to ensure the achievement of strategic goals. Knowledge and execution of high-volume fulfillment operation with attention to quality, efficiency, and regulatory compliance. Management and oversight of pharmacy staff including Pharmacy Managers, Supervisors, and staff level employees. Ability to work collaboratively with other business units.

Responsibilities:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develops and maintains pharmacy services in accordance with State and Federal regulations, accepted standards, professional practices and company policies.
  • Assists administration with the annual budget and submits capital expenditure requests per policy.
  • Plan, flex, and forecast to accommodate business growth with various levels of automation. Including but not limited to:
    • Staffing
    • Inventory management
    • Logistics
  • Reviews and revises Policy & Procedure per quality guidelines.
  • Initiates and implements quality and efficiency improvement for the department.
  • Responsible for the planning, supervision, coordination, and successful execution of all activities related to the pharmacys operations.
  • Works collaboratively with pharmacy departments and other business units to ensure accurate execution of program requirements.
  • Coordinates and supervises departmental operations, including but not limited to, hiring, orientation, determining workload, delegating assignments, training, monitoring, scheduling, and evaluating performance and initiating corrective and disciplinary actions.
  • Mentors, trains, and develops staff and management team to support career growth and succession planning.
  • Responsible for oversight and proper maintenance of robotic system and pharmacy computer systems.
  • Responsible for respecting and maintaining the confidentiality guidelines of HIPAA, including but not limited to, patient and employee information, as well as all proprietary information at all times.
  • Models leadership by example; demonstrating CHART (Caring, Honesty, Accountability, Respect, & Trust).
  • Responsible for the enforcement of all company policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelors Degree in business, and/or equivalent combination of education and experience in assisting fulfillment operations, preferably in a cGMP, high-volume mail order pharmacy, or 3PL environment
  • Eight (8) years pharmacy/warehouse experience with three to five years of experience in fulfillment environment.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :

  • HIPAA, Fraud Waste and Abuse and Confidentiality training
  • Understanding or knowledge of medication claims processing systems and/or medical information systems
  • Ability to effectively present information to senior leadership.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Visio.

  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to accept changing workflows and unexpected demands requiring flexibility

  • Ability to develop collaborative working relationships

This position is in a typical office environment which requires prolonged sitting in front of a computer. Requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office equipment including operation of standard computer and phone equipment. May have occasional high stress when dealing with customers/clients.
