A Material Handler is responsible for movement of production materials and finished products. This position assists the insulation lamination machine operator with lamination production, quality control, and safety to ensure products produced meet standards of the customer’s order.

Responsibilities

Movement of Production Materials:• Properly unwrap rolls of insulation and load them on the Lamination Machine• Perform quality inspections by examining all products to verify conformance to company standards.• Move freight, stock, or other materials to and from storage or production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, using hand trucks.

Movement of Finished Product:• Properly unload and bag finished product rolls off the Lamination Machine• Counts finished product to determine completion of production order• Perform quality inspections by examining all products to verify conformance to company standards.

Clean Work Environment / Safety:• Perform general house-keeping responsibilities to ensure a clean and safe work environment

Qualifications

Education: • High school diploma or GED is required

Experience:• 1 years’ experience in a manufacturing work environment• Prior forklift experience is required, 3-5 years

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:• Demonstrated knowledge, skills and ability to perform basic warehouse and/or manufacturing work in a safe manner• Math skills and ability to understand customer orders and product counts• Demonstrated track record of good attendance and being on time according to work schedule

Physical Demands / Working Conditions:• Exposure to hot and/or cold work environment based on weather conditions• Work near moving mechanical parts• Moderate to loud noise in a manufacturing environment
