Knabuilders Inc. is Hiring an Estimator Near Tonawanda, NY

We are an interior/exterior remodeling company working in the Western NY area for over 40 years. We specialize in kitchen and bathroom remodels taking every step of the process in house and overseeing each phase directly. We take pride in working directly with our clients helping them to accomplish their dream look for their home.
We are looking to bring on an Estimator with a similar background working on our projects to prepare our teams to estimate the cost of construction and materials and help prepare our clients to understand the scope of work it will take to help take their home to their vision of perfection.
What You Will Be Doing
  • Organize and interpret construction drawings/specifications and other bid documentation
  • Prepare takeoffs and provide clear details on necessary information for team members to interpret
  • Review project documents to identify project needs in labor, material and time costs
  • Prepare estimates and calculate cost information
  • Vet, approve, and organize subcontractor quotes during bid process
What You Need For This Position
  • Must have at least 3 years' experience in preparing Estimates on Exterior/Interior remodeling projects
  • Familiar with interpreting contract drawings, contract addendums, Change Orders, and RFIs
  • Ability to stay organized and effectively analyze information and estimations/plans
  • Solid grasp of Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with computers
  • High School Education or GED
Nice To Have
  • Experience with creating Submittals highly preferred
  • Experience with modern Estimation Software platforms
  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction, Engineering, or related field a major plus!
