Manager of Flooring Maintenance

Capozza Floor Covering Center, a three- generation family owned flooring company based in Portland, Maine has an exciting new opportunity available for a full time Manager of Flooring Maintenance to join their collaborative team!

In this newly created position, the Manager of Flooring Maintenance will play a pivotal role in launching and leading this new division supporting mainly healthcare and education accounts. The initial focus will be on commercial accounts with eventual expansion into the residential market.

You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the maintenance operations, including team management, sales, customer communications, scheduling, and technical training. Your leadership will ensure that we not only meet but exceed the expectations of our "anchor" accounts and target market sectors.

The successful candidate will be a highly motivated, detail oriented and driven professional who is knowledgeable in the commercial construction process.

Key Responsibilities of the Manager of Flooring Maintenance:

• Lead the launch of the maintenance division, aligning operations with Capozza's strategic goals.

• Develop, manage and expand a team of maintenance technicians, starting with three members and growing in line with revenue demands.

• Actively sell maintenance contracts and manage ongoing customer relationships. Incorporate maintenance offerings into each sale and closeout manual through collaboration with Manufacturing Partnerships, Business Development Managers, and Commercial Project Managers.

• Oversee scheduling, maintenance of equipment, and ordering of supplies.

• Develop and implement a comprehensive technical training program for the maintenance crew, emphasizing the importance of quality and efficiency.

• 2-3 years’ experience in a similar management position within a commercial construction environment, commercial flooring knowledge or facilities management experience a plus!
• Previous customer facing experience.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills are a must.
• Highly organized, motivated self-starter with the ability to set and achieve goals.
• Ability to work alone or as part of a team in a fast paced, time sensitive environment.
• Ability to multitask and effectively manage change.
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office, web-based applications, and can quickly learn new flooring software utilized throughout our company.
• Ability to work in the office and travel to customer sites as needed
