Projects will consist of bridges and other various structures, roadways, sidewalks, buildings, water and sewer installations and/or stormwater management.Responsibilities:Conduct field inspection of construction activities on complex projects and record details on an Inspector's Daily Report (IDR) and/or other reports as necessaryExercise a certain degree of independent thought and judgmentMay provide guidance and/or work assignments to other inspectorsAssure compliance with construction documents and state/federal rules and regulationsReview construction-related documentation, including contractors' pay applications and change order requestsProvide materials testing (steel, concrete, HMA and soils) and record test resultsAssist in review and response to contractor RFIsPlan, coordinate and conduct job meetings and assist in the preparation of minutesFrequently travel to various work sitesQualifications:High School Diploma or GEDCurrent/valid Driver's License with demonstrated safe driving practices and reliable transportationMinimum of eight years of experience in construction, construction inspection or construction contract administration and at least 4 years of required experience involving bridges or other related structuresNICET or project relevant certification(s)Knowledge of federal and state laws, rules and regulationsStrong organizational skillsWorking knowledge of surveying principles and practiceBasic knowledge of construction materials (soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, steel)Knowledge in basic engineering principles of algebra, geometry and trigonometryExcellent written and oral communication skillsOutstanding customer service skills, either in-person, via telephone or via emailEfficiency, accuracy and strong attention to detailAbility to work in a team-oriented environmentMust be able to read, write, comprehend and speak English fluentlyAbility to use Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Century Engineering, LLC, a Kleinfelder Company, is an Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action employer.
