Job Summary

• Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization. Responsibilities:
• Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
• Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
• Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team. Complexity of Work:
• Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment. Personal Protective Equipment:
• Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Responsibilities

• Under the general supervision of the Nurse Manager, is primarily responsible for professional performance and direct patient care.
• The role encompasses nursing assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation, and coordination of care for patients and their families across the health care continuum.
• The registered nurse is accountable for clinical, educational, quality, and fiscal patient care outcomes using the model of care designed by the nursing department and in accordance with established agency policies, procedures, protocols, guidelines, and standards of practice.
• Reports to the unit nurse manager.

Requirements:

• Graduate from an accredited nursing school, associate's or Bachelor of Science degree program; BSN preferred.
• Skill Sets Required: telemetry experience, nursing assessment skills, knowledge of medication safety and administration.
• EMR (Charting System): EPIC
• Valid State RN licensure required (Where applicable)
• Travelers must have an active ACLS and BLS certification. They should also be Telemetry certified.
• 2 years minimum experience required

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $52.00 - $65.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 – 48 per week

Standard shift:

• Day shift
• Night shift

Weekly schedule:

• 3x12
• 4x12
• Monday to Friday

License/Certification:

• RN (Required)
