Summary

The Director of Intensive Adult Services has oversight and management responsibility for services provided through the department. These programs include but are not limited to respite, residential, ACT, EASA, adult foster care, Supported Employment and Rental Subsidy. At all times, the Director ensures that services are delivered in accordance with KBBH policies and procedures, applicable state rules and regulations and with the highest possible clinical and ethical standards. The Director will provide their department mentorship, content expertise and opportunities for professional development in their department’s service arrays. They are responsible for each individual program meeting established metrics, fidelity requirements, quality measures, KPI’s and access expectations.

  • Facilitate strategy for the broader function (programs) and work with the managers to ensure broader function strategy is aligned with the agency strategy.
  • Ensure clarity around priorities and goals for the broader function of the department and organization.
  • Create innovative programing, i.e., staffing plans, effective recruiting practices, and program processes.
  • Is responsible for developing and achieving annual budget, financial goals, as well as metrics and key performance indicators.
  • Provide data to inform and influence the Executive team’s decisions.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and community partners to develop program strategy and coordinate implementation.
  • Create policies and procedures that align across departments to meet agency outcomes.
  • As part of the overall leadership team, make decisions in the best interest of the entire organization and address priorities with an agency-wide perspective.
  • Coach, supervise and develop their direct reports within this department.
  • Ensure staff within the department have appropriate training and opportunities for professional growth.
  • Assist the Executive team with development of the agency’s strategic plan.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Directly supervises managers in the department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, retaining, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; monitoring quality and outcome of services; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education/Experience:To perform the job successfully the following education and/or experience is required.

  • Ph.D., M A., M.S., M.S.W. in psychology, social work, counseling, or other mental health related discipline.
  • 8 years or more of clinical experience as a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP).
  • 5 years or more of experience in program management and clinical supervision.
  • Licensure as LPC, LMFT or LCSW preferred.
