Job Description/Preferred Qualifications

Responsibilities:

• Ownership of the supply chain and related supplier development and interface.
• Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and material control systems. Ensure materials are ordered and in stock to meet company requirements, while maintaining acceptable inventory levels.
• Develop material schedules and coordinate the efficient movement of materials with purchasing, production, engineering and finance.
• Review and plan requirements for purchasing materials.
• Manage a team of buyers, planners, material handlers and Master Schedulers.
• Select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure the operation of the function.
• Negotiate and/or approve contracts to ensure supply continuity.

Minimum Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Experience in related industry and/or within a manufacturing organization
• SAP experience preferred; basic ERP knowledge required
• Minimum 5 years of experience managing a staff of buyers, planners, etc.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
• MS degree preferred; BS degree required
