Job Description/Preferred Qualifications Responsibilities: Ownership of the supply chain and related supplier development and interface. Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and material control systems. Ensure materials are ordered and in stock to meet company requirements, while maintaining acceptable inventory levels. Develop material schedules and coordinate the efficient movement of materials with purchasing, production, engineering and finance. Review and plan requirements for purchasing materials. Manage a team of buyers, planners, material handlers and Master Schedulers. Select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure the operation of the function. Negotiate and/or approve contracts to ensure supply continuity.
