Busser

Summary

Thank you for taking the time to applying for the Busser position at our company! We are seeking both part-time and full-time Bussers. Bussers are responsible for clearing tables of used dishes and resetting the table for the next guest.

Duties

• Clear tables of dishes after guests are finished with their food, and clean tables and seats with damp cloths, as well as clean the floor under and around the tables.
• Remove used tableware between courses and provide tableware for the next course.
• Scrape and stack dirty dishes and carry dishes and other tableware to kitchens for cleaning.
• Take soiled tableware to the designated area, and unload, sort and stack silverware, dishes, and glassware for cleaning.
• Carry food, dishes, trays, or silverware from kitchens or supply areas to serving counters.
• Maintain adequate supplies of items such as napkins, silverware, glassware, dishes, and trays.
• Clean up spilled food or drink or broken dishes and remove trash.
• Communicate with servers and the host to expedite efficient seating and table utilization.
• Respond to requests from guests and communicate to server as needed.
• Act as a back-up server when the servers need assistance.
• Clean and polish counters and shelves. Mop and vacuum floors. Clean the restroom.
• Stock cabinets and serving areas with condiments and refill condiment containers.
• Fill beverage or ice dispensers.
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Ability to be vigilant and attentive to the needs of customers.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate in English
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
• 18 years of age
