Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Supply Chain organization as a Distribution Specialist I, to support operations at our commercial Cell Therapy TCF03 El Segundo, CA facility.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, oversee, and participate in the materials management operations and activities to support production operations team and other internal customers
• Manage the day-to-day assignments of warehouse job tasks and monitor completion of required activities
• Receive incoming shipments of non-GMP/GMP materials and equipment following established procedures
• Dispense and kit GMP materials to support production operations
• Prepare and deliver raw materials, samples, finished product, etc. to various departments as needed ensuring proper procedure and temperature range are followed
• Maintain accurate inventory of GMP warehouse materials
• Performing inventory cycle counts
• Perform accurate ERP transactions
• Monitor Kanban area to ensure optimum replenishment of materials
• Communicate inventory discrepancies to warehouse operations team and escalate when appropriate
• Cross-train in all areas of the warehouse operations
• Pick, Pack, and Ship finished product, materials, and equipment as required per established policies and procedures
• Keep warehouse operation clean and inspection ready at all times
• Assist in the revision of area SOP’s
• Fork Lift operation
• Additional duties as assigned.
• These duties can be delegated to designated deputies of a satisfactory qualification level as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma and 1 years’ experience in Manufacturing, Biotech or Pharma

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ability to adhere to all safety procedures at all times
• Knowledgeable of the (cGMP’s) current Good Manufacturing Practices, and (GDP) Good Documentation Practices
• Able to lift 25lbs
• Fork lift certification
• Ability to work on off shift hours as needed; weekend shifts
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Ability to adapt in a constantly evolving environment
• Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership in areas of responsibility
• Excellent collaboration skills and able to work well in a diverse, inclusive, team-based environment

The salary range for this position is: $44,030.00 - $56,980.00. Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package.
