KIPP SoCal is part of the nationwide KIPP (Knowledge Is Power Program) network of 224 schools across the US and educating 100,000+ students. Students are accepted regardless of prior academic record or socioeconomic background. If there are more applicants than available spaces, students are admitted through a state-mandated lottery process.
