Kingspan Insulation is seeking a seasoned professional to fill the role of Director of Sales - National Accounts. As we have sustained robust business performance throughout 2023, the momentum continues into the new year. This presents an exciting chance for you to play a pivotal role in our ongoing success. The selected candidate will be responsible for spearheading sales efforts across our comprehensive range of residential and commercial products, targeting both the single-family and multifamily markets. This leader will have overall responsibility for building upon our longstanding relationships with leading DIY homecenters, national builders and other 1-step and 2-step distributors in addition to converting new significant opportunities.

Key Duties Include

Essential duties are interpreted as being descriptive and not restrictive in nature. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Performs all work in a safe manner; promotes and fosters a safe work environment.
  • Capitalizes on strong position with several DIY homecenters to preserve our position and build pathways to improve our market share and maximize on the potential of this critical sales channel.
  • Develops sales with the top 50 builders in the country. Identifies the builders in strategic markets and develops a sales strategy with Kingspan sales and distribution teams to increase our market share.
  • Focuses on the top 20 multifamily developers to get Kingspan products into their specifications in addition to working with the national multifamily brokers on all job quotes.
  • Meets/exceeds established sales goals.
  • Tracks projects in which Kingspan products are specified and does the appropriate level of follow up to ensure that the specification is not replaced by a competing product.
  • Responsible for providing professional, technical advice, customer service, and training to customers.
  • Works closely with distribution and retail partners to grow the business by developing a sales strategy to increase our market share. Work with sales team colleagues to execute the strategy.
  • All Employees have the following compliance obligations: 

  • Remain compliant with the Code of Conduct and Policies which includes the Product Compliance Policy. 
  • Ensure that all duties related to product compliance are adhered to in accordance with the Product Compliance Policy, Laws, Regulations and market demands. 
  • Responsible for all tasks to achieve compliance goals and demands of Compliance Management System. 
  • Must raise concerns related to the Compliance Management System to their supervisor, manager, any member of the Leadership Team, or through the confidential whistle blower service.
  • Qualifications

    Education and/or Experience: Bachelors’ degree from an accredited university in Business, Engineering or Science. Master’s degree / MBA is preferred. At least 3 – 5 years of outside business to business sales experience, preferably in building products/insulation; or high school diploma or GED plus 6 -10 years of outside business to business sales experience in building products/insulation; or any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the above knowledge, skills, and abilities. Engineering or Architecture experience is a plus.

    Must have:

    • Minimum 5 years successful people management experience in fast paced commercial environment.
    • Demonstrated track record of delivering growth in sales and bottom-line performance.
    • Ability to travel up to 75% of the time

    • Excellent verbal communication skills at all levels inside and outside organization.
    • Demonstrated proficiency in driving sales with a persuasive approach.
    • Exceptional skills in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
    • Adept at establishing robust connections with builders and architects.
    • Proficient in utilizing business computer applications, particularly Microsoft Office.
    • Familiarity with project lead tools and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, including Microsoft Dynamics.
    • Well-developed leadership capabilities with a knack for creative problem-solving.
    • Excellent communication skills, demonstrating effectiveness in interpersonal interactions and conflict resolution.

    Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Must be able to communicate orally and written in English.

    Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures by using advanced math skills, applicable to and consistent with a business degree.

    Reasoning Skills: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to deal with ambiguity and a complex operating environment with competing priorities and deadlines.
