Overview: This position functions as part of the property maintenance and engineering team, providing the general maintenance for painting the doors, windows and walls throughout the resort and condos including new drywall installations and repairs as needed

Responsibilities:

• Performs proper preparation and painting of surfaces
• Performs drywall repairs and replacement as required
• Performs preventive maintenance for painting throughout resort and condos
• Performs general maintenance tasks necessary at the property.
• Responds to maintenance calls and resolves guest issues
• Performs project work for the property
• Prepares estimates, man hours, materials used and orders items needed for job completion or inventory replacement per established Company procedure.
• Follows all policy, procedures and service standards and complies with all current related safety and health requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Possess a valid drivers’ license
• Skilled in use of tools common to the trade including hand and powered tools
• Must be able to climb stairs and ladders to include extension ladders repetitively during the shift
• Ability to use of respiratory protection when required. OSHA standards requiring a clean – shaven face and a medical screening may be required.
• Must possess physical stamina to withstand heavy labor related work in a variety of inside/ and outside environments that may include exposure to various types of weather including exposure to the sun, lifting, pushing or pulling and carrying objects weighing a minimum of 50 pounds, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, bend at waist, and perform repetitive foot and hand action with good hand/eye/foot coordination required throughout the 8 hour shift.
• Ability to read blue prints and manuals
• Previous experience with painting commercial and residential properties is required; hotel experience is preferred
• Experience installing floors, windows and doors a plus
• Must have 3 years’ experience painting commercial or residential
• Prefer 10 years’ experience painting
• Ability to work days, nights, weekends, holidays
