Kings Harbor Multicare Center is looking for a full time Food Service Production Manager to assist the Director of the Food and Nutrition Department with the planning, organization, development, coordination and direction of the Food and Nutrition Department in its Programs and activities in accordance with current Federal, State and Local guidelines and regulations, accepted standards of practice.
Below are some of the duties that are required:
Develop and implement effective in-service training for cooks in conjunction with Director of Food and Nutrition
Supervise the preparation and service of food for therapeutic and mechanically altered diets according to planned menus
Guide staff in preparation and serving of meals that are palatable and appetizing in appearance
Guide staff in preparation of food for catering events
Supervise preparation of menus for weekly posting
Inspects kitchen and storage areas daily to comply with sanitary codes
Monitor usage of equipment
Develop specialty food items to meet the spiritual, ethnic and nutritional needs of residents
Coordinate dietary services with other departments as necessary
Oversee cafeteria service for staff
Analyzes and reviews budgetary guidelines and determines financial considerations of meals served
Below are qualifications that are needed:
Culinary Certification or training.
Minimum 5 years experience in food production.
Computer literate
Graduate of a Dietary Manager Program
