Home Health Aide
Duties:
- Provide personal care and assistance to patients in their homes
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and pulse
- Assist with mobility and transfers
- Help with meal planning, preparation, and feeding
- Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as cleaning and laundry
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients
Skills:
- Experience with tube feeding and administration of medications
- Knowledge of hospice care principles and practices
- Ability to work collaboratively with nurses and other healthcare professionals
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
- Familiarity with medical terminology and documentation
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality
- Previous experience in a nursing home or similar healthcare setting is a plus
