Director of Safety and SecurityJob Overview:The Director of Safety & Security plans, directs, and coordinates activities relating to the protection, safeguard and security of ministry assets, employees, members, visitors, and volunteers. Their main responsibilities are to implement security strategies, policies, standards, and establish programs and processes that provide a visible, positive, safe and secure environment throughout all services across all campuses.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:Directs, examines, evaluates, and supervises King Jesus Ministrys security operations, inclusive of physical security assets and security volunteers.Manages and coordinates parking employees and the volunteers of the ministryResponds to all security or safety related incidents and coordinates adequate response.Prepares and manages the departments annual budget, including operational expenses and capital improvements and produces reports as needed.Evaluates and updates as needed current procedures and practices to accomplish activities and functions related to security and safety.Identifies and resolves security and safety threats for the ministry.Develops preventative security and safety programs, including the supervision of security volunteers, contractors, and employees.Conducts, supervises, and prepares reports relating to internal investigations of any losses or violations of regulations, policies, and procedures.Supervises and ensures that all log and incident reports are completed and are escalated as needed.Develops, implements, and conducts different security training sessions for staff and volunteers.Assists in the preparation of emergency management and contingency planning.Serves as a liaison with law enforcement, fire, and other agencies to promote safety and security.Performs, arranges, and supervises executive protection details for VIPsMaintains constant surveillance of all KJM properties through resources provided.Performs audits of security related performance and proactively conducts physical surveys of premises security, including security equipment condition.Participates in the ministrys logistics team and disaster management team by providing professional feedback to ensure the ministrys safety.Develops and updates the ministry emergency response plan.Coordinates executive protection and security coverage for local and international mission trips, services, and events.Controls inventory of radios and UHF communication systems for the ministry.Manages ministrys VMS and access control systems.Manages all fire suppression equipment inspections and maintenance.Implements and enforce OSHA standards with employees in coordination with HR.May require travelingOther duties may be assigned.Professional QualificationsExperience in analyzing and resolving security problems.Experience in developing and implementing security policies and procedures for a multi-unit facility or campus environment is strongly preferred.Great time management, organization and prioritization abilitiesComputer Skills (Google applications, Microsoft Office, Facilities softwares)Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.Must have the ability to lift 50 pounds.Must have and maintain the following Certificates and Licenses:Security License DSecurity License GConcealed Weapons PermitFirst Aid, CPR & AEDOSHA 36 hours certificationEducation and/or Experience RequirementsBachelors Degree (4 Year Degree); or 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Spiritual QualificationsUncompromised commitment to KJMs vision, values, core beliefs and statement of faithAgree to be an active participant in King Jesus International Ministry.Be a born-again Christian who conducts affairs in accordance with the Bible and maintains a lifestyle consistent with the Scriptures.Understand that in this role, they are a critical part of KJMs mission to bring the supernatural power of God to this generation, and that part of their responsibilities as a church employee includes being considered a spiritual leader in the church.Equal Employment Opportunity King Jesus Ministry is an equal opportunity employer.
