Kindred Hospitals is Hiring a Cardiac Monitor Technician / Monitor Technician / EKG Monitor Tech-Kindred Hospital Aurora Near Aurora, CO

We are looking for full-time Monitor Tech to join our team in Aurora.

Kindred Hospital Aurora is an all-private room, 37-bed long-term acute care hospital we offer the same critical care patients receive in a traditional hospital or intensive care unit, but for an extended recovery period. We are best known for our wound care program, successful pulmonary outcomes and ventilator patient management. Our team plays a vital role in the recovery process for chronic, critically ill and medically complex patients. We are located in Aurora on the east side of the Denver metroplex at the junction of I-225 at 6th Avenue; our facility is on the 2nd floor of the Medical Center of Aurora North building at: 700 Potomac St., 2nd Floor, Aurora, CO 80011.

You will continuously monitor the cardiac function of patients on telemetry, providing an accurate interpretation of the rhythm and promptly notifying the nursing staff of any significant findings or changes. Perform clerical and receptionist duties.

Responsibilities:

  • Print and interpret rhythm strips every eight hours and place in patient's chart each shift; alert nursing personnel of rhythm changes or new occurrences and obtain a graphic tracing for each
  • Accountable for alarm limit settings on the monitors
  • Follow policies for placing telemetry leads on patients; troubleshoot any telemetry problems
  • Compile new and current charts; enter patient information on chart and Kardex
  • Perform clerical duties related to admission and discharge of patients
  • Answer telephone and intercom, take messages and communicate information to appropriate person; call and follow-up with consultants
  • Assist visitors on the nursing units

Qualifications:

Education:

High School diploma or General Equivalency Diploma.

Licenses/Certification:

Current CPR certification.

Completion of Telemetry Training - this is a seperate training from EKG/ECG
Attach training certificate to application.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.98 - $21.53 per hour
