Kinder Morgan is Hiring a Financial Planning Analyst Near Birmingham, AL
As a member of the Natural Gas Financial Planning organization, the successful candidate will be responsible for coordination, consolidation, and analysis of financial forecasts, budgets, and long-range outlooks for LNG and other East Region assets in Kinder Morgan’s Natural Gas business unit.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
- Work closely with Commercial team and members of Senior Management to provide timely and meaningful analysis for use in strategic and tactical decision making
- Forecasting model development and streamlining of data and processes
- Monthly analysis of actual results versus forecast and budget
- Preparation of management performance reporting packages
- Preparation of financial analysis for quarterly business reviews
- Prepare special projects and perform research as requested by management
- Job level will be determined based on the candidate’s skills and qualifications.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance
- Proven track record coordinating/consolidating financial data
- Self-starter, with a high degree of initiative, attention to detail and strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and respond to deadlines
- Moderate overtime required during budget and long range outlook process
- Adaptive to accounting/budgeting/forecasting systems and tools
- Experience with Lawson and/or Essbase considered a plus
- Hybrid work schedule (Mon-Wed in office and Thur-Fri remote)
