Kill Busy Season is Hiring a Fund Accountant Near Los Angeles, CA

Our client, a private equity firm located in the Manhattan Beach area (in office position), is looking to hire a Fund Accountant/Accounting Analyst to own daily financial, operational, and compliance responsibilities. This professional will gain wide exposure to PE outside of the accounting team. If desired, experienced individuals on this team even have the opportunity to sit on company boards and be involved with broader investment activities.

Requirements

  • 1-4 yrs of public accounting experience (Big 4 preferred but not required) or 1-3 years of portfolio reporting experience at a fund administrator, asset management company, or similar financial services firm
  • CPA preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to analyze, summarize, and communicate information verbally and in writing
  • Demonstrated ability to both take direction and show initiative as appropriate
  • Ability to quarterback assigned projects to resolution
  • Commitment to uncompromising quality and unquestionable ethics.
Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with internal deal teams, fund administrators, consultants, and auditors for relationship management.
  • Ensure timely compliance and finance reporting deadlines are met on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Coordinate with internal and external parties for new fund launches.
  • Assist in preparing and reviewing quarterly reports for limited partners and/or portfolio managers.
  • Review compliance reporting and manage debt facilities as needed.
  • Review GAAP financial statements and footnote disclosures for funds quarterly and annually.
  • Assist in reviewing management and performance fees calculations.
  • Prepare and review regulatory compliance filings.
  • Review cash flow projections and manage daily cash.
  • Address ad-hoc requests from limited partners, internal team members, and portfolio managers.
  • Review tax information for quarterly estimates, extensions, and returns.
  • Monitor and manage fund expense budget and payments.
  • Manage internal corporate card expense approval process.
