Join our team as a full-time Maintenance Technician at our second-generation, family owned and operated flexible packaging company in Ames, Iowa.

Hours:

2nd shift (1 pm – 9 pm), Monday-Friday

Initial training period on 1st shift (5 am - 1 pm) up to 4 weeks

Example Duties/Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance and mechanic skills on manufacturing equipment (electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic)
• Read and interpret mechanical and electrical diagrams
• Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with equipment
• Review and interpret manuals to determine correct or required maintenance services
• Repair and replace parts on manufacturing equipment
• Perform regular preventative maintenance
• Maintain organization of maintenance department supplies

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Previous work experience with mechanical, electrical, and/or pneumatic systems
• Ability to read, write, read and understand measurement tools, and calculate basic math
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work occasional overtime (flexible overtime hours available!)
• High School Diploma or GED
