Kiliper Corporation is Hiring an Experienced Printing Press Operator Near Ames, IA
Join our team as a full-time Experienced Printing Press Operator at our second-generation, family owned and operated flexible packaging company in Ames, Iowa.
When you join our team, you become a part of the family!
1st shift (5 am – 1 pm) or 2nd shift (1 pm – 9 pm), Monday-Friday
Example Duties/Responsibilities:
- Review job orders to determine printing instructions for quantity, colors, or other specifications
- Operate presses and pull print samples for impression setting, color density/hue, color deck registration, material orientation and various customer specifications.
- Monitor automated press operation systems and respond to error or alert messages
- Load presses and make adjustments according to production needs
- Load plate cylinders into machinery and perform dial/registration process.
- Change press plates or cylinders as required
- Place pre-mixed inks onto machine and perform quality checks
- Input production settings into workstation terminals
- Clean and maintain machines per company cleanliness standards
- Maintain a high level of quality control while multitasking at different levels of production throughout the shift
- Document changes and communicate effectively with team members
- Maintain a strong presence of mind for production and quality while working in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a strong presence of mind to production and quality
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Previous printing press experience in flexographic industry
- Ability to read and write
- Basic math skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work occasional overtime (flexible overtime hours available!)
- High School Diploma or GED
