Kilgore Flares Company, LLC is Hiring a Flare Technician I - 2nd Shift (DEPT 145) Near Toone, TN

Description

JOB SUMMARY

Performs a variety of functions across the complex including operation of mix equipment, presses, & extruders, material handling, and performing quality inspections

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Operates equipment remotely via computer and control panels
  • Responsible for training new operators on processes and procedures
  • Prepares, operates, and adjusts equipment as needed
  • Inspects quality of in-process goods with various gauges and tools
  • Responsible for shift reports and production paperwork
  • Performs necessary material handling

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Special projects and additional duties as assigned

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

EDUCATION

  • N/A

EXPERIENCE

  • One year of experience in machine operations, manufacturing, or similar preferred; or equivalent combination of education or experience
  • Experience working with computers and common software programs (Microsoft Office, etc)

SKILLS and QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to wear and work in all required PPE
  • Know the Safety and PPE equipment required with the situation presented
  • Strong problem-solving and logical thinking abilities
  • Eligible to possess explosives under the Safe Explosives Act of 2003 (as amended) as required by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) 
  • Willing to work in an environment that requires a “Safety First” attitude
  • Must obey all Safety, Health & Environmental rules/regulations prescribed by regulatory agencies that are incorporated into company policy
  • Ability to read and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
  • On the job training will be required

PHYSICAL AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to handle energetic and non-energetic material
  • The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
