Warehouse Lead - 2nd Shift

Essential Job Functions

• Directs warehouse employees in day-to-day operating tasks
• Responsible for warehouse staging and scheduling during the 2nd Shift
• Directs CDL drivers of trailer placement for next day drop shipment trailers
• Receives trans-shipment loads in a timely manner based on incoming appointment times
• Assists in loading and unloading of trailers as needed
• Assists in line pulling as needed
• Required to participate and command the necessary skills to cycle count if requested
• Participates in monthly and annual inventory counts if requested
• Assists in making sure production lines and palletizer stay operational during duration of shift
• Maintains track-able information for daily shuttles by CDL driver
• Number of loads shipped and received per shift
• Maintains and performs trailer inventories to ensure accuracy
• Pallets
• Finished goods
• Has an understanding and can read production schedule
• Works directly with all department managers / supervisors to ensure complete accuracy for inventory of finished materials
• Understands and can use SAP Software program after training
• Inventory control
• BOL printing
• Pick Ticks
• Work orders
• Maintain and publish local shipping and delivery schedule
• Maintain "wish list "is complete and received before shift change
• Understands and practices use of the RF Scan gun
• Trains
• Shrink wrapper
• Trailers (glad hand locks)
• Demonstrates and maintains exemplary care of all equipment
• Completes routine paperwork and maintains records as required
• General housekeeping duties as assigned
• Communicates effectively with shift leads, department managers and coworkers
• Follow all safety and GMP guidelines
• Follow all policies and procedures as applicable

Qualifications

• Ability to work 1st or 2nd Shift
• High school degree or GED equivalent
• Ability to work in fast-paced and always changing environment
• Ability to follow detailed instructions
• Good communication skills both verbal and written
• Ability to work safely
• Must be able to work overtime / weekends when needed
• Must be flexible to work different shifts
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical and background check
• Must pass a Skills Assessment Test
• Must complete all regulatory and KIK safety training and has been certified as a forklift operator and is able to continually meet all requirements going forward
• Must be able to push, pull and lift at least 50lbs
• Must be able to lift wooden pallets from floor to shoulder height
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time
• Must be able to work Weekends and Holidays if required
• Must be able to bend, squat, lift and reach for long periods of time
• Must be able to safely climb ladders
• Must be able to work in a chemical environment (bleach, ammonia)
• Must be able to work in an industrial environment
• Must be able to wear steel toed shoes, safety glasses and hearing protection always while on the DC floor
• Must be able to tolerate non-climate-controlled working environment
