Kidz Academy is Hiring a Childcare Provider Near Hopkinsville, KY

At Kidz Academy we are seeking Toddler teachers with an unwavering passion for providing children with exceptional early learning education, and are full of energy, compassion, and a genuine love for impacting the lives of children.

The ideal candidates will be responsible to:

  • Plan individual and group age-appropriate activities to actively engage children and encourage social, cognitive and emotional growth.
  • Work daily as a classroom Teacher developing and implementing weekly lesson plans, other activities and supervising children in a safe, positive and developmentally appropriate environment.
  • Conduct developmental screenings, parent conferences and ongoing assessments within the required time frames.
  • Partner and communicate with parents, with a shared desire to provide the best care and education for their children.
  • Maintain frequent communications with parents through informal discussions, progress reports, and parent-teacher conferences.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned in support of the program needs and operations.
  • Lead by example; encourage teaching team success through modeling and coaching.
  • Ensure all center policies and state regulations are met.

Required Skills:

  • Strong organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task and handle multiple situations effectively.
  • Excellent understanding of the principles of child development.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
  • High energy and the ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment.

Education, Experience and Training Qualifications:

  • Must successfully clear criminal background check without exemption.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Early Childhood Education CDA or degree preferred.
  • At least 1 year experience working in childcare (outside of family and friends)
  • Meet state specific qualifications for the role or willingness to obtain CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain
  • Must meet all state, federal, and Kidz Academy’s guidelines regarding education, experience, and required health and safety training and practices.
  • A valid driver's license is required if driving is a requirement of the position

Consider the following working conditions:

  • May need to be capable of lifting small children (40lbs)/babies, bending and picking up toys, reaching high shelves, and sitting on the floor to play games throughout the day.
  • Able to assume postures in low levels to allow physical and visual contact with children, see and hear well enough to keep children safe, and engage in physical activity with children.
  • Essential physical requirements, such as standing, walking, and running.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $10.35 - $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
