Journeyman 

Kidwell is seeking a highly-motivated individual to fill the role of Journeyman Electrician at our Columbus location. This individual must be team oriented and possess the qualities of positivity, honesty, and attention to detail. Candidates also need great organizational skills and must be quality communicators. As a Journeyman Electrician, you will not only train apprentices, but will represent Kidwell on the jobsites and in front of customers.

Current State of Nebraska Journeyman license is required.

What You’ll Do: 

• Work with the project Foreman to coordinate, plan, and complete job requirements
• Supervise and train apprentices on your jobsite 
• Effectively prioritize tasks to ensure timely completion of projects and jobs 
• Work effectively with the general contractor and other contractors on-site to maintain project timelines 
• Install and repair electrical systems and equipment within the scope of the job 
• Create and maintain a safe work environment, meeting or exceeding OSHA regulations 

Do You Have What It Takes? 

•  Journeyman’s license is required 
• Previous experience working on small to medium job sites preferred
• Excellent problem solving, communication, and organizational skills are required 
• Must possess good leadership and people skills
• Minimum of 4 years of field experience is preferred
• Candidates must have a driver's license
• All candidates must be able to pass a physical exam, criminal background check, and drug screening
• Applicants looking to grow and advance their career in the electrical trade will be strong candidates
