Description

This position aims to recruit, orient, and maintain the agency’s robust volunteer department and coordinate related community engagement activities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent and three years of related experience.
• Volunteer experience, preferably with a non-profit organization
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, particularly relating to diverse populations
• Proficient in public speaking and group facilitation
• Coordination of community events and/or activities
• Computer skills including Windows 10; Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook; social media experience
•  Develop and implement policies and procedures concerning recruitment, intake/orientation, placement, training, retention, and recognition of volunteers.
• Coordinates all volunteer activities at the Kids Incorporated Early Learning centers, at the main office, and within various community outreach and agency events, including management of schedules, placement, evaluation, and ongoing training/technical assistance, as needed.
• Manages the Elder Care Services/Foster Grandparent contract and coordinates all related program activities.
• Responsible for volunteer retention activities, including monthly volunteer newsletter and annual volunteer appreciation activities.
• Works in conjunction with the Community Quality Compliance Manager and implementation of special events that include Kidsfest, Holiday Happiness, Thanks for Reading, and other outreach events.
• Responsible for collecting, entering, and monitoring data and records associated with volunteers in the DonorPerfect database, to generate non-federal share for the Head Start match requirement.
• Responsible for generating monthly reports, including Volunteer Allocation Report, Home Learning Activity Report, Family Engagement Report, and other data.
• Assists the organization by making regular digital media postings related to volunteer activities.
• Represents the agency at Volunteer Administrator meetings and other community engagement meetings.
• Performs other related duties as requested.
