Kid Curious is looking for a Store Manager to join our 8 person team. We are located in the heart of Historic Downtown Sheridan. Our Ideal candidate is looking to join a fun and stress free environment and must be a self-starter, ambitious, and engaged. [RF1]

The Store Manager will plan and direct the day-to-day operations of the store. Maintain high store standards and conditions and foster a positive environment. Must have a positive attitude and principles which support the values and culture of Kid Curious to ensure customer needs are met, complaints are resolved, and service is quick and efficient.

A bachelor’s degree in business administration is preferred or its equivalent of experience in retail & sales. Must be familiar with a variety of the retail concepts, practices, and procedures; including bookkeeping, inventory receiving & management, knowledge of retail management best practices as well as customer service. Must have knowledge of basic computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Suite(specifically Excel & Word), POS, quickbooks, or equivalent required) to maintain and adjust operations to stay within budget and make any changes necessary to sustain the projected profit margin for each quarter.

Must be able to rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Lead and direct the work of others.

Responsibilities:

*Full time Availability Monday-Saturday, 8:30 to 5:30. Occasional evening or off-site events. *Manage the team, including interviewing potential staff, performance reviews, as well as providing or organizing training and development. *Complete store operational requirements by scheduling and forecasting staffing needs and develop a recruiting strategy to provide optimal staffing in all areas *Identify current and future customer requirements by establishing rapport with potential and current customers *Formulate pricing policies by reviewing merchandising activities; determining additional needed sales promotion; authorizing clearance sales; studying trends *Market merchandise by studying advertising, sales promotion and display plans; Determine marketing strategies; Organize special promotions, displays and events *Secure merchandise by implementing security systems and measures *Protect employees and customers by providing a safe and clean store environment *Maintain the stability and reputation of the store by complying with legal requirements *Maintain operations by initiating, coordinating and enforcing program, operational and personnel policies and procedures *Ensure availability of merchandise by maintaining inventory through implementing purchasing plans and staying in contact with vendors and reps all while merchandising products effectively to maximize sales and profitability. *Develop a schedule of holiday activities and promotions throughout the year strategically designed to bring in more revenue *Analyze and interpret trends to facilitate planning *Provide a high level of customer service *Update Store Owners on business performance, new initiatives and other pertinent issues *Tour the sales floor regularly, talking to colleagues and customers to identify if there are any changes to be made *Maintain awareness of market trends in the retail industry and monitoring what local competitors are doing *Initiate changes to improve the business, customer service, or customer experience e.g. revising opening hours to ensure the store can compete effectively in the local market *Promote the organization locally by liaising with local schools, newspapers, DSA, Chamber of Commerce and the community in general

Available shifts and compensation: We have available shifts all days of the week. Compensation is $18.00 - $22.50/hour.
