Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, insurance plans, retirement plans, safety & workers’ compensation, wellness programs, discount programs, and access privileges. This position reports to the Assistant Director of Human Resources and works closely with the Benefits Manager. Ideal candidate is proactive, has strong communication and technology skills, is extremely organized, and works well with a team. Responsibilities & Skills:Assist with answering departmental phone calls.Provide coverage for the HR front desk as needed.Communicate with employees regarding insurance eligibility and enrollments.Process new hire insurance enrollments & qualifying life event enrollments.Monitor bi-weekly payroll deductions.Generate & distribute recurring employee reports.Monitor dedicated Benefits email account.Upload and add documents as appropriate to employee records.Process employment verifications.Communicate with employees about benefits eligibility and other pertinent issues as assigned.Communicate and interact with external vendors as assigned.Assist with office management/ stewardship – maintaining & organizing common areas of the HR office, monitoring & replenishing departmental supplies, keeping forms updated and copies stocked.Process invoices to include reviewing, reconciling, and submitting payment requests.Assist employees as needed to include generation of name tags, gift cards, resetting of employee system passwords, and more.Uphold the core values and policies and procedures of the department and the resort.All other duties as assigned. Qualifications:Skilled at performing duties of a sensitive and confidential nature and able to maintain confidentiality at all times.Administrative experience required. Human Resources and/or Customer Service experience preferred but not required.Strong verbal and written communication skills. Must possess good listening skills and ask questions for clarification.Strong skills in technology. The ability to operate office equipment, such as copiers, fax machines, printers, scanners, and multi-line phones. The ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, database systems, and understand how to search, compile data, and prepare/complete reports/information effectively and efficiently. Experience with Ceridian Dayforce or a similar HR information system preferred.Strong organizational, interpersonal, problem solving, and communication (written and verbal) skills, displays initiative, and exercises good judgment. Have the ability and willingness to learn new things.Ability to multi-task and organize. Experience with meeting schedules and timelines.Has the ability to work independently as well as be a cooperative team member.Ability to exercise good judgment in recognizing scope of authority and taking responsibility for performance of duties and gaining appropriate approvals.Remain calm and flexible, with the ability to adjust quickly to unique and changing circumstances.Must be able to pass a background checkMust be able to work onsite Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm Essential Physical Requirements:Must be able to reach, bend and stoop occasionally.Must be able to carry items up to 40lbs over moderate distances occasionally.Must be able to work in an office setting with tasks such as typing, answering phones, use of a computer for hours at a time. Must be able to verbally communicate with others one-on-one in person, phone, email, and text.Must be able to work on site to be available to employees for human resource assistance during office hours. Join our team and work in paradise!
