The ideal candidate is someone who is deeply passionate about pastry arts, has a keen eye for detail, and a strong background in creating exquisite desserts and pastries. As a Pastry Supervisor, you will work closely with our Executive Pastry Chef to oversee the production of high-quality desserts, bread, cakes and pastries. Expectations & Responsibilities:Collaborate with the Executive Pastry Chef to plan and execute dessert menus.Oversee the day-to-day operations of the pastry department, including managing a team of pastry cooks.Train and mentor junior pastry staff to ensure consistency and excellence in execution.Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and taste.Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.Contribute to maintaining a positive and collaborative work environment.All other duties, as assigned. Administrative Responsibilities:Maintain accurate records of recipe development, and ingredient usage.Work with department heads to set production, sales, and labor goals.Implement and maintain kitchen policies and procedures.Qualifications:Proven experience as a Pastry Supervisor or similar role in a high-end restaurant or pastry shop.Extensive knowledge of pastry techniques, dessert presentation, and baking.Strong leadership and team management skills.Excellent organizational and time-management skills.Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.Banquets experienced preferred.A passion for delivering exceptional pastry experiences to guests.Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.Strong administrative and organizational skills.Ability to follow recipes, to increase or decrease recipe as needed. Ensure that kitchen equipment is in working order and is properly used.Maintain reports of department waste. Essential Physical Requirements:Ability to stand for the entirety of a shift.Ability to reach, bend and stoop frequently.Must be able to carry 50 lbs. about ten times per shift over a medium distance.Must be able to handle manual labor via whisking, chopping, piping, and repetitive hand movements. Join our team and work in paradise!
