Full job description

Body Shop Technician / Collision Repair Technician

High Volume State of the Art fully equipped shop. Multiple DRP’s and large Corporate fleet accounts. Always busy-always at capacity.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Examine damaged vehicles and diagnose repair procedure
  • Remove upholstery, accessories, electrical and hydraulic window-and-seat-operating equipment, and trim to gain access to vehicle body and fenders
  • Fill depressions with body filler
  • Remove damaged fenders and panels
  • Bolt or weld replacement parts in position, using wrenches or welding equipment
  • Repair/Replace frames & section unibody
  • File, grind and sand repaired surfaces
  • Metal finish & prep repaired surface
  • Aim headlights, replace damages suspension parts & assembly’s and bleed hydraulic brake system
  • Diagnose & replacement electrical systems & modules
  • Repair or replace SRS systems, suspension, mechanical parts
  • 5 years of experience as an Auto Body Technician required
  • I-CAR certifications & state certification
  • Working knowledge of all aspects of repairs for damaged body parts and bodies of vehicles
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record
  • Ability to interpret vendor catalogs & repair procedures
  • Frame & unibody experience tools required
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Must possess problem solving & excellent communication skills
