RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Stamford, CT that is seeking a SQL ETL Developer.
Summary:
The SQL ETL Developer will support the BI team and will have a focus on location intelligence. The ideal candidate will have 6-10 years of experience as an ETL Developer, or related role. This candidate will participate in active discussions with team members and users to understand business requirements, work closely with IT, Architecture, Business Analysts and Report Developers to achieve business objectives, and design, develop, implement, and support new and existing data integration jobs using Teradata Stored Procedures. The SQL ETL Developer will also develop technology documentation to support production deployments as well as ongoing maintenance of reporting and data solutions. This role is very investigative into what data looks like, and is a hybrid environment of writing requirements, as well as coding in SQL.
REQUIREMENTS:
* 6 years as an ETL Developer or related role
* 6 years of SQL Query Design in large-scale data warehouse environments
* 6 years of data integration development using ETL methodology
* 5 years of data collection and database/report design
* 5 years of work experience in delivering IT/BI solutions
* Strong and effective communication skills- will need to communicate with business users as well as stakeholders, both technical and non-technical
* Ability to perform detailed business analysis and design, as well as transform business requirements into a technical solution
* Knowledge of different ETL design and development methodologies
* Strong knowledge of SQL and Stored Procedures
* Strong understanding of how data governance plays a role in BI
* Strong understanding of how multiple data sources can be consolidated together to produce BI Solutions
Nice to have:
* Experience with Teradata and/or other MPP data warehouse platforms
* Experience working with Telecom/Cable MSO data and applications
* Experience working with MicroStrategy, Tableau
* Experience working with ETL workflow and scheduling applications
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
