A services organization in Connecticut is looking to add a new BI / ETL Developer to their growing team in Stamford. In this role, the BI / ETL Developer will be responsible for supporting and managing a program of business unit-focused initiatives designed to help business partners drive value from information.
Responsibilities:
The BI / ETL Developer will:

• Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience
• Provide advice and education in the usage and interpretation of business data relevant to the business unit
• Communicate data nuances and insights to all levels of the company in a clear and concise manner
• Instill best practices and assists users at all levels within the company on how to leverage BI capabilities for accurate reporting and analysis
• Leverage knowledge of Business Intelligence capabilities and familiarity with business trends in identifying patterns, opportunities and threats
• Work closely with business partners in gathering detailed business requirements, establishing business definitions, translating to technical requirements for development team and gaining approval
• Interact with senior management or executive level customers and provides support as needed
• Create report mock ups based on requirements and coordinates with technical team in finalizing design and receiving sign off
• Support all scheduled and non-recurring information needs of the business users
• Understand data elements in the warehouse at a very detailed grain to support any form of user needs from research to adhoc querying to managing large information projects
• Query large datasets and tables comfortably to provide information requested by business users
• Present data in a fashion that is easy to understand with proper documentation for successful user adoption
• Manage detailed plans on small to medium sized projects to ensure successful completion
• Perform other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

• 5 years of relevant Technical and/or Business work experience
• Intermediate to advanced statistical knowledge and intuition ideally utilized in A/B or multivariate testing (or related analytics)
• Advanced SQL skills
• Project management skills
• Expertise with BI Data Modeling concepts such as Star/Snowflake Schema, Dimensions and Facts
• Great interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Highly organized

Desired Skills:

• Experience with MicroStrategy, Terradata
• Experience with data visualization standards and techniques to visually summarize data and insights
• Experience with Cable TV, Internet, and/or Phone products & services or other related industry experience
