RESPONSIBILITIES: Kforce has a client in San Antonio, TX seeking a Network Engineer IV. Key Responsibilities: * Network Design and Implementation: Design, plan, and implement advanced network solutions to support business objectives; Develop and maintain detailed network architecture diagrams and documentation * Network Management: Oversee the day-to-day operation of enterprise-level network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless networks; Ensure network availability, reliability, and performance * Security: Implement and maintain robust network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and VPNs; Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments * Troubleshooting and Support: Lead the resolution of complex network issues, providing advanced technical support and troubleshooting for critical incidents; Collaborate with other IT teams to diagnose and resolve service disruptions * Performance Optimization: Monitor network performance and usage, identifying and addressing potential bottlenecks; Implement network optimization strategies to enhance efficiency and throughput * Project Management: Manage and execute large-scale network projects, including upgrades, migrations, and expansions; Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring projects are completed on time and within scope * Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, changes, and procedures; Prepare regular reports on network performance, security incidents, and project progress * Mentorship and Training: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior network engineers and IT staff; Conduct training sessions and knowledge sharing activities to foster team development REQUIREMENTS: * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master's degree preferred * Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in network engineering, with at least 3-5 years in a senior or lead role; Experience in managing large-scale enterprise networks is essential * Relevant industry certifications such as CCIE, JNCIE, or equivalent are highly desirable Technical Skills: * Expertise in network protocols (BGP, OSPF, MPLS, etc.) * Proficiency with network hardware (Cisco, Juniper, Arista, etc.) * Strong knowledge of network security practices and technologies * Experience with network monitoring and management tools (SolarWinds, Nagios, etc.) * Familiarity with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, etc.) The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future. We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave. Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.
