Job Details

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Mainframe Developer in Durham, NC.
Summary:
The Mainframe Developer will be responsible for production support and maintaining high-quality, full stack application components in support of various products in the Employer Journey product line. You will triage issues in an Agile environment in addition to day-to-day technical support responsibilities.
REQUIREMENTS:
* BS or above in Computer Science or related field
* 5 years of web/application development experience with strong proven understanding of Java/Spring MVC, Spring Core, Spring Boot, Angular, and Node JS
* Knowledge of supporting server-side components using REST API and backend SQL/Stored Procedure Components
* Experience supporting and maintaining applications in a DevOps environment using CI/CD tools; Experience with Git/Bitbucket Server (Stash), Jenkins, and uDeploy are a plus
* Experience with cloud technologies Azure/AWS
* Support experience with Event Driven applications using Kafka
* Experience supporting 12-factor, containerized (Docker, Kubernetes) API's to AWS/Azure
* Experience with COBOL, JCL, DB2/SQL, CICS, and VSAM
* Exposure to Oracle and distributed warehouses
* Experience with financial platforms are good to have
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.
This job is not eligible for bonuses, incentives or commissions.
