Job Summary: Maintain a high level of client retention by managing the day-to-day service needs of our clients and constantly work toward strong client relationships. Market and service accounts in accordance with the Agency Objectives and Procedures. Contribute to the profitable growth of the agency by achieving Retention and Renewal Goals, proactive Account Rounding, Up-Selling of Limits/Coverages and by providing extraordinary client service. Responsibilities: • Develop and maintain a “Book of Business” that is profitable for both the agency and carriers. • Provides timely, professional, accurate, communication to client, team, carrier representatives and underwriters. • Works with clients in making appropriate limit and coverage changes; Informs and educates clients about coverage, exclusions and exposures and consistently documents agency management system. • Completes all transactions, paperwork, mail, and internal processing for accounts. • Prequalifies insurance prospects for insurability and quality of risk. • Surveys loss exposures, needs and possible uninsurable or difficult to insure exposures for clients. • Completes applications and related documentation for submission to companies. • Verifies accuracy of all endorsements and policies. • Open activities not to exceed 14 days. • Completes account renewal reviews meetings and makes recommendations to client to provide them with effective coverage and/or more competitive pricing. • Markets account renewals and negotiates with company underwriters. • All bound policies invoiced to the client and submitted to the carrier within 3 business days and/or as per binding authority with the carrier, whichever is sooner. • All account changes submitted to the carrier within 24 hours of request. • Collects applicable down payments from clients for purchases of new and upgraded coverages and obtains signatures on all applications and supporting documentation for clients. • Acknowledges non-standard coverage limitations and binding restrictions to document file and lower errors and omissions exposures. • Maintains knowledge of all carrier underwriting criteria, ratings procedures and marketing policy. • Provides needed information and clarification about clients to company personnel. • Follows-up on expirations lists to round accounts. • Educates clients concerning agency payment expectations and cancellation procedures. • Manage and utilize your time effectively to ensure the department meets required service levels for improved customer satisfaction results. • Maintain all client files, conversations, emails in the agency management system with full policy detail and use the system for all transactions, notes and suspenses. • Continues to develop relationships with clients, prospects and underwriters. • Process all incoming mail requests accurately and timely. • Verifies accuracy of direct billed cancellations, taking corrective action when necessary; uses agency credit and collection policies on all transactions. • Keep and maintain confidentiality of client records and communication. • Seeks referrals from clients and follows through to help generate new business. • Refers current and prospective clients to Benefits Department and to Commercial Insurance for solicitation of those lines of business. • Coach and mentor junior members of the personal lines team; may lead team meetings and initiatives. Professional Development: • Complies with continuing education requirements for agent licensing as well as professional designations. • Keeps informed regarding industry information, new product information, coverages, and technology to continuously improve knowledge and stay current. Other Qualifications: Must be organized, detail oriented, able to multi-task and be efficient with verbal and written communication skills. Intermediate to advanced formulas in excel. Able to incorporate tables, formulas, graphs and charts. Create and present reports. Must also have the ability to work with others. Must have a high level of problem-solving skills. Maintain a professional image. Working Conditions: • Work is done in a temperature controlled, non-smoking office environment. • Some workstations are open-aired cubicles. • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. • There may be some travel associated with this position. • High level of interpersonal or informational complexity is faced.
