Keyple Health is Hiring a Substance Abuse Counselor Near Plymouth, MN

Summary:

As a Substance Abuse Counselor, you will play a crucial role in providing clinical services to individuals seeking treatment for substance use disorders. You will adhere to the highest standards of care while facilitating patient awareness, understanding, and motivation to change related to addiction and recovery issues. This position involves direct patient care, clinical supervision, representation of services, and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Services:

  • Conduct introductory and initial counselor interviews, design initial treatment plans, and identify vulnerable adult issues.
  • Perform assessments, prioritize clinical issues, and involve patients, referents, and families in the care planning process.
  • Utilize various therapeutic modalities, including 1:1 and group counseling, family counseling, and educational sessions.
  • Collaborate with the treatment team to develop individualized care and continuing care plans.
  • Consult with patients, families, and referents to address clinical issues related to continuing care.
  • Representation of Services:
  • Consult with internal staff to ensure accurate representation of services.
  • Promote the benefits of the Family Program and Twelve Step involvement to patients, families, and referents.
  • Communication and Coordination:
  • Provide clear and accurate information to the treatment team, internal/external service providers, and stakeholders.
  • Build professional relationships with referents and initiate timely communication to facilitate patient care.
  • Attend meetings, conferences, and consultations to support programmatic and individual goals.
  • Safety and Compliance:
  • Maintain privacy, security, and confidentiality of patient information.
  • Adhere to standards and regulations for fire, emergency, and environmental hazards.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, HIPAA, and organizational policies.

Additional Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Serve on internal and external teams and participate in related meetings.
  • Fulfill additional duties as assigned by supervisor/manager/director.
  • Practice behaviors that align with organizational standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's Degree preferred in MN).
  • Completed certificate/degree program in addiction counseling or equivalent.
  • Active Substance Use Disorder certification or license as per state requirements.
  • Proficiency in technology and computer skills.
  • Current CPR certification (or obtain within 30 days).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree.
  • Independent Mental Health Licensure: LPCC, LCSW, LMHC, or equivalent.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $64,000.00 - $87,000.00 per year
