Overview

Position: Linux System Administrator -Intern
Location: Albuquerque, NM
Salary Range: $14.28 - $16.28 per hour
Clearance: Clearable to Q

KeyLogic is currently seeking a Linux System Administrator - Intern. In this position you will work with a team that provides computing capabilities and in-depth support for various applications. The team builds and maintains user environments, delivers subject matter expert support, and application-level software and tools to our clients.

Responsibilities:

In this position you will:

  • Perform Linux Administration duties
  • Perform installations and patching of Linux operating systems
  • Assist customers with the installation and updates of applications
  • Install software and troubleshoot software install issues
  • Monitor systems and preform hardware troubleshooting, tracking, resolution, and routine maintenance and security updates
  • Perform system backups and provide data recovery

To accomplish this, you will need a background in Linux administration and issue resolution along with hardware/software troubleshooting skills. And finally, the ability to gain knowledge and understanding of best practices and IT operations.

Qualifications:

Required Skills:

  • High School Diploma/GED is required for this position.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Q clearance.
  • Ability to work up to 30 hrs/wk.
  • Experience with system administration of Linux desktops, including building, configuring, patching, and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity or experience with system administration of Linux servers running RHEL and Ubuntu OS, including building, configuring, patching and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with application support.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and documentation skills.
