The Manager, Case Management and Utilization plays a critical role in overseeing day-to-day CM/ UR activities, providing functional guidance to CM and UR teams, and ensuring optimal outcomes. This position involves maintaining necessary controls to identify deficient performance, leading PMO projects and new product/service initiatives, and ensuring the quality of the company's offerings meets or exceeds customer expectations. Additionally, the manager assists in one-on-one or small group training for staff and clerical personnel based on audit process findings, Training Department recommendations, and management directives. The manager serves as a resource person for team members' questions and collaborates directly with leadership to manage overall activity within AHDI.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Policy Development and Implementation:

  • Develop and implement consistent policies and strategies across operational units to enhance productivity and efficiency.
  • Measure and report on results related to policy implementation.

Issue Resolution and Collaboration:

  • Work closely with customer service representatives, client relations staff, and providers to address complex issues.
  • Keep AHDI leadership informed of critical issues.

Efficiency Enhancement:

  • Identify process inefficiencies and friction points.
  • Propose and implement solutions to maximize operational efficiency.

Team Empowerment:

  • Provide feedback (positive or negative) on workflow, staff performance, and other relevant matters to AHDI Leadership.
  • Direct Team Lead positions to improve workflow, process efficiency, and administrative functions.

Resource Management:

  • Ensure inventory moves efficiently with minimal delays.
  • Manage organizational resources and processes to achieve improved performance.

Metrics and Controls:

  • Establish metrics and controls for product and service delivery.
  • Continuously improve operational goals.

Project Management:

  • Lead company project initiatives:
  • Build teams
  • Set deadlines
  • Monitor progress
  • Resolve issues
  • Evaluate project performance

Staff Development:

  • Assist in the preparation of staff annual performance reviews.
  • Conduct regularly scheduled one-on-one sessions with staff.

Backup Support:

  • Serve as a backup for team lead staff in their absence.

Other Duties:

  • Handle additional tasks as assigned by management.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Monitor sick and vacation time.
  • Track work assignments, inventory control, and individual/team performance indicators.
  • Coordinate with the Vice President-AHDI on clinical staff management.
  • Manage employe performance and complete employee annual reviews in a timely manner.

Competencies, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of three years of experience in population health.
  • Previous leadership or supervisor experience with responsibility for reporting, issue resolution, and setting direction.
  • Strong coordination, analytical, decision-making, and detail-oriented skills.
