Description

The Manufacturing Engineer will drive positive business results by improving manufacturing operations. Analyzes data, identifies changes, plans and implements production and process improvements. Demonstrates strong teamwork skills through cooperation and coordination with other KSF employees.

Essential Job Functions:

• Utilizes engineering and lean methodologies to develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods. 
• Analyzes and supports planning of workforce utilization, workflow, and layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency. Develops a standardized process in each work area. 
• Interprets data, identifies improvement course of action, collaborates with management, and implements improvement plans.
• Executes change management in an effective, collaborative manner and sees projects through to thorough conclusion, including documenting results. Serves as a change management champion with the operations team. 
• Identifies operational manufacturing strategies to support short- and long-term business plan.
• Works safely and follows Company and OSHA safety rules and regulations; promotes safe work practices throughout the operations team. 
• Utilizes problem-solving skills to analyze manufacturing difficulties to determine root cause and define corrective actions in support of on-going operational activities including increased quality and reduced cost. 
• Reviews manufacturing processes and written SOPs for accuracy, appropriateness, and practicality. Provides feedback as needed. 
• improve customer satisfaction and reduce waste. 
• Collaborates regularly with other operations team members and engineers to ensure cohesive progress to meet company objectives.
• Provides feedback to assist in prioritization of continuous improvement projects. Adapts quickly to changing business needs.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, chemical, electrical or industrial engineering
• 3 years' engineering experience in manufacturing environment 
• Experience with a fast-paced, results-driven environment
• Understanding of manufacturing operations and strong analytical skills

Knowledge of:

• Training in or strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing
• Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills
• Strong communication and people skills
• Experience reading and interpreting project plans and specifications
• Excellent time management skills
• Desirous of growth opportunities in an operational leadership capacity
• Experience with AutoCAD, MS Office, MS Project, Bluebeam preferred
