ICON MAINTENANCE ASSOCIATE

Principle Function:

With direction from management, takes initiative to ensure that all guests experience the best facility we can offer while providing ICONIC ShowService. Directly interacts with ICON Theatre guests to provide directions, keep theatre (inside and out) and equipment clean and ready for guests, cleans rest rooms, auditoriums, and handles spills, accidents, etc., greets each guest with an appropriate verbal greeting, including eye contact and a smile. Pays close attention to detail in order to correctly and accurately handle theatre maintenance projects, as well as staying on top stocking and cleaning needs.

Major Functions:

• Takes pride in their role in keeping a guest oriented, clean, stocked, fully functioning, safe and positive workplace that provides an ICON experience for all guests.

• Performs minor carpenter, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical repairs. Repairs and maintains areas such as walls, ceilings, floors, tile and fixtures, mirrors, doors, locks, and countertops. Paints buildings and equipment, including finishing work, as needed. Works with managers to have them obtain /order the proper supplies and tools needed for the repairs.

• Cleans and repairs machines, equipment, and structures as necessary. Proactively maintains important equipment, including, but not limited to seat, concession, and restaurant equipment.

• In coordination with operations management, follows and completes a regular Preventive Maintenance (PM) program and supports management in routine inspections for the location. Regularly report results to Managing Director and Facilities Manager on the overall status of the program.

• In coordination with management, supports following best practices, spot checks, and inspections as it relates to facility. Supports high standards of properly functioning emergency lighting, door alarms, fire extinguishers, and ensures clean and well signed safe harbor and emergency exit areas.

• Partners with Managing Director, Operations, and Facility Manager to troubleshoot and ensure larger issues and projects get proper vendor proposals and high-quality work is performed. Coordinates repairs with operations and construction management to ensure minimal disruption to theatre operations.

• Understands company procedures and follows proper emergency procedures. Aware of all guests in their area, notify appropriate personnel and follow safety procedures. Awareness and practice of safety and security standards and best practices. Examples of awareness may include OSHA standards, Safety Data Sheets, proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), sanitation guidelines, Emergency action plans, EPA, Hazard Material Control, CAL/OSHA regulations, blood borne pathogens and first aid, lock out/tag out, safe harbor areas, as well as all federal, state and local health and safety standards.

• Maintains a safe, tidy, and sanitary environment while completing repairs and maintenance. Keeps all tools and supplies clean, secured, and organized.

• Keeps entire theatre inside and out, including rest rooms, clean, well-stocked, and free of hazards. Advocates and performs routine checks and proper checklists.

• Supports theatre for incoming deliveries, stocking, and receivables for the lounge, kitchen and entire theatre.

• Completes shift as ushers and greets guests with a smile and eye contact. Watches for opportunities to assist with full-hands, door opening/closing, crowd-control. Picks up trash, sweeps, mops (only as needed, following safety standards). Assists in managing hold out lines, preventing cross-over or any unauthorized admission.

• Other duties as assigned
