Knowledge and Skills

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite-Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Experience with MSSQL Query is a plus.
  • Ability to establish and maintain a positive rapport and helpful effective working relationship of with all levels of management, client, staff members, users, vendors and others.
  • High attention to detail, communication, presentation and organizational skills while working on multiple assignments simultaneously.

Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in any of the following: Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering and Mechanical or related disciplines.
  • Enterprise Asset Management of physical assets (ISO 55000 / PAS 55) knowledge a plus.
  • 2-4 years of information technology systems application support, reporting and maintenance experience or equivalent field experience.
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License.

Key Accountabilities

  • Produce inspection criteria for verifying condition of assets, monitor maintenance practices and procedures, and assist in establishing criteria for preventive maintenance cycles based upon data driven metrics.
  • Implement and maintain all asset inventories, inspections, and preventative maintenance programs for all Engineering and Mechanical departments in Trapeze EAM.
  • Review and validate new asset data provided by the asset handover process to maintenance.
  • Produce and deliver all necessary scheduled and ad-hoc Trapeze training to all Engineering, Mechanical departments, and MBTA personnel.
  • Provide support for employees using Trapeze EAM for their everyday work assignments. This includes, but not limited to walkthroughs, troubleshooting, investigating and/or responding to user product support calls, emails or inquiries via remote or onsite sessions as deemed necessary. '
  • Support MBTA’s OCAR Service Request process to include running weekly OCAR meetings.
  • Assist in developing and documentation of business workflow processes. Support execution and rollout of new system workflows.
  • Provide professional, consistent and responsive support services across all KCS businesses following best practice standards, processes and systems required to deliver high quality user service. Document, track and monitor problems to ensure a timely resolution.
  • Review inspections, test samples, reports and other data to determine the State of Good Repair of assets and components.
  • Collect requirements from the business with respect to Report and Visualization development. Submit appropriate change requests as needed.
  • Assist in QA, testing and documentation of new EAM releases & products.
  • Act as the liaison between Trapeze software vendor, KCS DS and KCS Engineering and Mechanical keeping abreast with software upgrades and functional improvements
  • On occasion be flexible to work all shifts and/or locations as assigned or directed
  • Comply with and ensure staff compliance with all safety rules and procedures. Report all hazards as required.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned
