Job Overview
Family-owned distribution business seeking a highly organized and motivated individual to join our team as a Warehouse Assistant Manager. In this role, you will assist the Warehouse Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our warehouse facility. Your primary responsibilities will include supervising warehouse staff, managing fleet operations, transportation planning, budgeting, and ensuring efficient warehouse management systems.
Duties
- Supervise and provide guidance to warehouse staff, including training and performance evaluations
- Manage fleet operations, including vehicle maintenance, scheduling, and driver supervision
- Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system.
- Collaborate with team to optimize delivery routes and ensure timely order fulfillment
- Assist in budgeting and financial management, monitoring profit loss, and implementing cost-saving measures
- Oversee the implementation and utilization of warehouse management systems to improve efficiency and accuracy
- Monitor order fulfillment processes to meet customer expectations and minimize errors
- Utilize transportation management systems to track shipments and optimize transportation routes
