Role reports to: Director, Customer Development Location: Minneapolis, MN Travel %: 10 Pay: Annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges from $97,000 to $166,750. This takes into account a number of factors including work location, the candidate’s skills, experience, education level & other job-related factors. What you will do How would you like grow with the largest pure play consumer health company? This role collaborates with Brand, Customer Strategy and Omnichannel Marketing to grow sales and share in Target’s Health Division. The Customer Development Manager (CDM) also maintains relationships with key Target buyers and develops, negotiates, and delivers annual joint business plans. The CDM develops and maintains relationships at the customer level to drive growth through key category platforms and initiatives. The CDM also manages trade funds within budget and develops strategies for maximizing effectiveness. Key responsibilities include: - Develops winning strategies to maximize in-store and digital shelf presence, promotional effectiveness, and effective pricing strategies. - Negotiates and delivers annual Joint Business Plan (JBP). - Manages trade budget. - Achieves forecast accuracy by collaborating with supply chain, customer strategy and Target. - Collaborates with cross function partners and Target to implement strategies to profitably grow share at Target. - Partners with Target to create market leading three year growth roadmaps. - Develops market leading plans for innovation launches.

Qualifications:

What we are looking for Required Qualifications - A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related field required. - At least 4-6 years of experience in a consumer package goods environment in sales, business analytics, category management, shopper marketing/insights, logistics or related field required. - Demonstrate effective communication and presentation skills. - Ability to interpret and communicate sophisticated business data. - Ability to prioritize and to effectively lead multiple projects/initiatives. - Ability to handle conflict and negotiate successfully. - Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships. - Strong digital literacy, including MS Office Suite applications, sales database, and web applications is required. Desired Qualifications - Strong analytical background, and/or category management experience preferred. - Prior sales experience is preferred. - Experience working with IRI/Nielsen preferred. - Experience working on a platinum customer or national account preferred.
