Director of Student Involvement and Orientation
Kentucky Wesleyan College, a private, liberal arts college with a long-standing reputation for
quality and academic excellence, is seeking applications for a full-time Director of Student
Involvement and Orientation to join our community and to lead student activities, manage
student organizations, and plan new student orientation.
Major Responsibilities
o Organize activities for student participation (e.g., movies, comedians, music
entertainment, trips, etc.)
o Advise the Student Activities Programming Board.
o Work collaboratively with other campus programs and departments to ensure
holistic programming.

o Provide training and guidance to the presidents and the advisors of the student
organizations.
o Assist students who want to create and develop new student organizations.
o Advise and assist the national Greek organizations, the Inter Fraternity Council,
and the PanHellenic Council.
o Coordinate sorority and fraternity life events, awards, recruitment, and other
functions.
o Support, maintain, and promote the KWConnect Campus Labs software.
o Collaborate with college leaders to identify needs, research and analyze trends
and external benchmarks, and develop and analyze feedback mechanisms to
develop and administer campus-wide orientation service activities.
o Plan, implement, and evaluate orientation activities, programs, workshops, and
speakers. This includes creating and distributing schedules, agendas, and
promotional materials.
o Monitor departmental budgets.
o Manage the student orientation leaders by coordinating the selection process,
developing and implementing training, monitoring and evaluating performance,
and providing feedback and coaching.
