Kentucky Trailer is Hiring a Truck Body Technician Near Louisville, KY
Shifts: A Crew - Monday through Friday 6am-2:30pm; OT 2:30-4:30pm
B Crew - Monday through Thurs 3:30pm-2am
Job description
- Work in a safe manner while wearing the appropriate safety equipment and reporting any unsafe condition or act.
- Be responsible for an area of the shop for housekeeping and organization and will utilize clean up time assigned at the end of each day to do so.
- Be on the job as scheduled for start, stop, and break times.
- Conduct oneself according to the Policies of the Company as provided in the Handbook including attendance, smoking, breaks, clean up, vacation, PTO, cell phones, etc.
- Mechanically inclined (mechanic experience preferred)
- Ability to MIG weld, preferred.
- Doesn't mind using a floor sander, or a creeper to work under a truck :)
- Able to assist with mounting truck body to chassis and other duties assigned.
- Use of hand and power tools as it relates to required tasks
- Basic math aptitude and ability to read a tape measure.
- Is detail-oriented with problem-solving skills
- Able to lift up to 50lbs continuously
- Able to perform repetitive tasks; high physical activity
- Able to bend, kneel, stoop, stand, reach, climb, twist, and/or crawl
- Able to work in areas regularly exposed to high noise level, vibration, dust, and fumes
- Read, write, speak, listen, and understand work instructions
