The cabinet is seeking to fill a Special Fund Program Advisor position located within the Department ofWorkers’ Claims, Division of Workers Comp Funds.
This position will be responsible for daily operations inadministering the Special Fund. The Special Fund is liable in providing part of the income benefits awardedto certain occupational injuries and diseases resulting from incidents or last exposures prior to Dec. 12,1996.
The preferred candidate for this position will demonstrate the ability to communicate clearly and concisely,and work cooperatively with a team.
The preferred candidate should have an extensive knowledge of Workers Compensation regulations and statutes.

Minimum Requirements EDUCATION : Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS : Four years of administrative experience in Workers' Compensation programs or experience in statistical or policy analysis, accounting, auditing, research, or a related field.
Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE : Certification as a Certified Public Accountant will substitute for two years of the required experience.
Graduate study will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis not to exceed two years.
Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION : Additional administrative experience in Workers' Compensation programs or experience in statistical or policy analysis, accounting, auditing, research, or a related field will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.) : NONE Working Conditions Work is typically performed in an office setting.
Probationary Period This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS
