KENTUCKY KINGDOM THEME PARK LLC is Hiring a Receptionist - Part-Time 2024 Near Louisville, KY

Job Description:

This position will interact with guests, potential guests, park leadership, vendors, and suppliers via telephone, email, and in-person. The receptionist will be responsible for effectively solving or directing to others customer issues and inquiries, keeping customer satisfaction as a primary goal.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including lobby area and conference room.
  • Maintain a positive and productive work environment.
  • Answer, address, and/or direct incoming phone calls and emails in a courteous and timely manner, managing large amounts of calls.
  • Provide accurate information, including ticket prices, operating hours, promotions, and attraction details.
  • Assist with administrative tasks.
  • Handle guest concerns with empathy and professionalism, escalating issues as necessary, while maintaining a kind but firm demeanor.
  • Identify issues to be addressed by department management.
  • Maintain uniform standards and have necessary equipment available at all times.
  • Perform minor cleaning tasks (e.g., wiping down table, straightening supplies) frequently and major cleaning tasks (e.g., vacuuming, mopping) weekly as determined by Guest Services Manager.
  • Resolve concerns of guests and departmental Hosts.
  • Assist Hosts in answering questions or guest concerns.
  • Log guest comments in Verbal Comment Log.
  • Promote a positive and efficient work environment.
  • Provide support to Guest Services senior supervisor and manager as necessary.
  • Understand and follow Lost and Found procedures (color coding, proper logging, return items correctly, organize).
  • Understand and follow Boarding Pass procedures.
  • Understand and follow Sunshine Pass Log procedures.
  • Navigate season pass and ticketing program to provide information as necessary to guests and management.
  • Follow communication “scripts” when handling different topics
  • Identify customers’ needs, clarify information, research issues, and provide solutions and/or alternatives within scope of authority.
  • Perform basic data entry and season pass account maintenance.
  • Computer experience required (MS Windows, Word, Excel)
  • Maintains daily posting of event sheet.
  • Comprehensive knowledge the park hours and special events.
  • Correctly distribute incoming mail.
  • Prepare and send outgoing mail.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

  • Must maintain dependable work attendance and flexibility with assigned work schedules including any required overtime, evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to comprehend instructions and retain information.
  • Ability to be flexible to handle frequent changes in priorities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively using standard English.

Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Availability to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, including working up to 40 hours per week.
  • Professional appearance with good personal hygiene.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and guests on the phone and via e-mail. Ability to hear and speak as necessary.
  • Physical ability to operate all necessary office equipment (e.g., computer, copier, telephone, postage machine).
  • Physical ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
  • Ability to read, count, and write to accurately complete necessary documentation and computer transactions.
  • Participation in all required training sessions.
  • Knowledge of departmental and park-wide policies.
  • Computer literate with knowledge of Galaxy and Microsoft systems or ability to learn same.

Candidates 18 years or older must complete a pre-employment background check.
